Apple Launches iTunes Match Beta

Today Apple announced the availability of iTunes 10.5 beta 6.1 for developers, allowing them to start using the upcoming iTunes Match service ahead of its release. If you have a paid developer account, here are Apple's official instructions:
To get started with iTunes Match, download the current version of iOS 5 beta and iTunes 10.5 beta 6.1 with iTunes Match. Once installed, choose Turn On iTunes Match from the Store menu, and click "Subscribe for $24.99."

Apple also urges that if you use the beta service, you'll need to maintain a local backup copy of your music. It's possible your iCloud information could be reset during the beta, so to avoid any possible issues with accidental deletion you'll want to have a backup ready.
